Summer in the Square Returns!

Returning due to popular demand, Summer in the Square is an all-day event in Battersea Square that will bring our community together to enjoy food, activities, art, music, and much more that Battersea has to offer.

Save the Date: Saturday 15 September 2018

All are welcome to attend. Local charities, businesses, societies, civic groups, and schools will be participating in the day.


The event takes place in Battersea Square, SW11 3RA.

The square is easily reached by public transport. Bus 170 from Victoria or Clapham Junction stops at the square – the stop is announced as “Battersea High Street”.

Buses 19, 49 and 345 buses all stop at Battersea Bridge; the square is located at the end of Battersea Church Road nearby.

Parking – there is free parking on Saturdays in surrounding streets but it is likely to be very busy.

Entertainment and Activities on the day will include:

Music, street food, face painting, dancing, stage performances, a dedicated art exhibition at The Square Gallery (submissions welcome!), and more. Wandsworth Radio are broadcasting the event in its entirety, and will be showcasing what local Battersea has to offer!

Call for performers and artists

Wandsworth Radio are offering several spaces to local singers, musical groups, variety acts and others who would be interested to perform on stage during the event. In addition, The Square Gallery is hosting an exhibition of local artists through the weekend of the 14th-16th of September and are calling for entries!
If you would like to perform or take part in the art exhibition, we would love to hear from you! All ages are encouraged to apply.

Stall Holders

Are you a business, charity, or society local to Battersea? Would you like to be represented on the day?

We have a limited number of stalls on offer and would love for our diverse community to be represented at Summer in the Square Returns.

St Mary’s Church would like to invite you to submit up to 3 paintings, sculpture, ceramics or works of art for their



Date: Private View Friday 14th September, 2018 6 – 8pm

Exhibition continues 15th and 16th September, 2018


  • Local artist/Local Scenes
  • Portraiture and Abstract also considered.

Cost is £10 per work adult or £5 per work children (16 and under). No commission is taken.
